About the Project
HADES Defense Systems is a European defense technology company headquartered in Sofia, Bulgaria, specializing in the development and manufacturing of advanced military and security systems. Its portfolio includes unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), counter-UAV solutions, radar systems, and multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), supported by in-house engineering, software development, and manufacturing capabilities.
Brave Cat Digital was responsible for the complete redesign and development of HADES’ corporate website. Built from scratch using WordPress, Elementor Pro, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), and custom PHP and JavaScript, the new website replaced an outdated online presence with a modern platform designed to showcase the company’s engineering capabilities and extensive product portfolio.
The project combines detailed product presentations, technical specifications, comparison tables, image galleries, and interactive 3D models powered by Three.js. Smooth scrolling and carefully implemented animations complement the design, creating a professional presentation that reflects the advanced technology behind HADES’ products.
More than a conventional corporate website, the finished platform serves as a digital product showcase that can also support presentations at international defense exhibitions, industry events, and meetings with potential partners.
The Challenge
HADES had an existing website, but its design and presentation no longer reflected the company’s capabilities or the technical sophistication of its products. The previous website needed to be replaced with something that communicated the scale, precision, and professionalism expected from a modern defense technology manufacturer.
One of the main challenges was presenting a diverse and technically complex product portfolio without making the website difficult to navigate. UAVs, counter-drone systems, radars, and other defense technologies require different types of information, from detailed specifications and technical characteristics to product imagery, configurations, and system comparisons.
The website also needed to work as a practical presentation tool. Potential customers, partners, and industry professionals should be able to explore the company’s capabilities, find specific defense systems, and review technical information without relying entirely on separate brochures or presentations.
Visually, the challenge was finding the right balance between modern interactive design and the restrained, professional presentation required in the defense industry.
The Solution
We completely redesigned and rebuilt the HADES website using WordPress, Elementor Pro, and ACF, establishing a new visual direction with clean layouts, bold typography, carefully arranged technical imagery, and a structured navigation system.
A major part of the development focused on organizing HADES’ product portfolio. We created dedicated sections for UAVs, counter-UAV systems, radars, and MLRS, supported by individual product pages containing technical specifications, comparison tables, image galleries, and detailed system descriptions. The structure allows visitors to explore different product families and access the information relevant to each system.
To bring the company’s engineering products into a more interactive environment, we integrated Three.js with GLB and OBJ 3D models. Custom JavaScript interactions allow selected models to respond to mouse movement, adding an additional dimension to the presentation beyond static product photography.
The website also incorporates smooth scrolling, custom transitions, and subtle motion effects that support its modern visual direction without distracting from the technical content. Custom PHP and JavaScript were used where the design and interactive functionality required more flexibility than standard Elementor features.
Beyond the product catalog, we built supporting sections presenting the company’s engineering capabilities, corporate background, news, industry events, and contact information. The website was developed with responsive layouts to maintain a consistent experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
What Changed
The redesign replaced HADES’ outdated website with a modern corporate platform that presents the company’s defense technologies in a much clearer and more structured way.
HADES now has a dedicated digital showcase for its UAVs, counter-UAV systems, radars, and other defense products, with individual pages that bring together technical information, specifications, comparisons, and supporting imagery. Visitors can explore the product portfolio and understand the company’s areas of expertise without navigating through disconnected documents or presentations.
The addition of interactive 3D models and custom front-end animations gives the website a visual identity that better reflects HADES’ focus on modern engineering and advanced technology. The result is not an online store, but a professional product presentation platform designed for a specialized international audience.
The finished website also provides a practical resource for industry exhibitions and business meetings, where HADES can use its product pages and visual presentations to introduce its systems to potential customers and partners.
